India’s top schools will see big changes with new global schools in town. The high ed boss, Vineet Joshi, said this at a meet in IIFT Delhi. He said Indian biz schools need to gear up for more fight soon. He spoke of how top schools from out of town may drive local schools to up their game. I talk of this as it marks a key shift for India’s school world.
For long, Indian kids have gone out for top learn, in biz & research. But now, with world schools in India, it will mix up the cost, how hard it is to get in, & the fight. It asks big ask: Are our schools set to fight on world terms? Will this help kids from small towns? Or will it grow the gap between top & so-so schools? To know these shifts is key not just for biz hopefuls but for all who watch India grow as a school hub.
Internationalisation of Higher Education
Vineet Joshi says, big schools in India like IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, & IIFT have set up places in other lands. Now, the other way round—schools from other lands are coming to India fast. This step is part of the plan from the National Education Policy. It aims to make India a top spot for higher ed on the world map.
What It Means for Indian B-Schools
- More fight: Indian schools must lean on world class teach ways, job-led course, & work-study.
- New chances for kids: With schools from abroad in India, kids may get top teach & show but not need to pay much to learn far.
- Push on the good: Schools that don’t make new or get better may drop kids to these fresh names.
AI and Education Centres on the Horizon
Joshi talked on the new AI Centre for Ed, said in this year’s fund plan. Such steps aim to help Indian schools keep up with world gains. Tech gains in AI, data use, & e-learn are key.
