Located in Khagaul, Patna, the office is expected to streamline processes like affiliation, examination handling, grievance redressal, and training programmes.

Anyone who has ever dealt with CBSE knows the challenges of accessing timely support, especially in states like Bihar where students are rising in number but often get less attention. As someone who has studied under CBSE, I know how crucial timely exam notifications, centre arrangements and quick redressal of issues can be. This new regional office is not just a building, but a way to bring better coordination and accountability closer to lakhs of students and teachers in this region. Why a Regional Office in Patna Matters
Earlier, CBSE schools in Bihar and Jharkhand had to coordinate with offices that were far away or overburdened with work. This often led to delays in:

Now with a dedicated Patna regional office, over 1,200 CBSE-affiliated schools in the region will benefit from quicker and more localised services. Services Expected from the New Office
The new CBSE office in Patna will provide the following key services:

States like Bihar have often been seen as lagging in educational infrastructure when compared to metros. But that doesn’t reflect the sheer number of students and their potential. The CBSE board sees thousands of students from Bihar every year competing in national-level exams. Still, small logistical issues like delayed admit cards or lack of communication from authorities often created stress for students and parents.
Now, with the regional office in Patna:
- Schools will not have to depend on Delhi or Allahabad offices for urgent matters
