The Hindu Khatik Samaj Economic Development Corporation Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation) is implementing the Subsidy Scheme, Seed Capital Scheme, Direct Loan Scheme and NSFDC Scheme to help applicants start their own businesses. To achieve the financial targets for the year 2025–26, the District Manager of Mumbai City and Suburban District has appealed to beneficiaries from the Scheduled Caste Hindu Khatik community to take advantage of these schemes.

Subsidy Scheme
The project limit under this scheme is 50,000 rupees.
A subsidy of 50 percent of the project cost or up to a maximum of 25,000 rupees is provided.
The remaining amount is provided by a bank, and interest is charged as per bank rules.
Loan repayment is generally required within three years.

Seed Capital Scheme
The project limit under this scheme is 50,001 rupees to 5 lakh rupees.
Twenty percent of the project cost is given as seed capital loan by the Corporation at an interest rate of 4 percent.
This includes a subsidy of 50 percent of the project cost or up to a maximum of 50,000 rupees.
Seventy-five percent of the project cost is provided as bank loan, with interest charged as per bank rules.
Repayment of the Corporation and bank loans must be completed through equal monthly installments within three to five years.
The applicant must contribute five percent as self-investment.

Direct Loan Scheme
The project limit under this scheme is up to 1 lakh rupees.
A subsidy of 50 percent of the project cost or up to 50,000 rupees is provided.
The remaining 50,000 rupees is provided by the Corporation as a loan at an interest rate of 4 percent.
Loan repayment is generally required within three years.

NSFDC Scheme
The project limit is between 1.40 lakh and 2 lakh rupees.
Ninety percent of the total project cost is provided through NSFDC, New Delhi.
A subsidy of up to 50,000 rupees is available.
The remaining amount is provided as seed capital.

Eligibility Criteria
• The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste Hindu Khatik community.
• The applicant must be above 18 years of age.
• The annual income limit for both urban and rural areas is three lakh rupees.
• The applicant must not be a defaulter of any schemes of the State or Central Corporations.
