2025A big choice to push real work & small town know-how, the Maharashtra state team said they will add Farming as a course up to Grade 10, a bit at a time. The plan will start in the 2025-26 school year, with Grade 1, & will grow to high grades each year till it gets to Grade 10. The step fits with the 2020 National Ed Plan (NEP) & the 2024 State Course Style, both of which aim to mix real-world skills into school ed.
Up-to-date & Real CourseThe course will go past old farm ways to bring in new things like smart tech in farming, clean crop growth, millet work, use of reed, pet food rules, water checks, making food, & even farm-linked trips.
State School Ed Head Pankaj Bhoyar, who led the talk, said the course will show the local way, crops, & land, making sure kids tie what they learn to where they are.
Mixing Old Ways & TechThe staff noted that the plan will mix old farm know-how with new tech, prepping kids for both small town lives & new farm jobs. They expect that teacher logs & school fixes will come next to make sure it all works fine in both city & small town schools.
Ed pros like this move, saying it will not only bring up food safe & last-long ways but also spark biz drive among young ones.
