The results for UPTET 2026 have been declared, with over 13 lakh candidates qualifying across both the Primary and Upper Primary levels this year. The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) released the results on Wednesday. The 2026 UPTET examination was conducted from July 2 to July 4 across 955 examination centres in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Due to the large number of candidates, the exam was held in three shifts. Successful candidates will now have the opportunity to participate in the various recruitment processes for teaching positions in government schools across Uttar Pradesh.
A significant number of candidates qualified in both the Primary and Upper Primary levels of UPTET 2026.
A total of 7,13,648 candidates appeared for the Primary Level examination (Classes 1 to 5), out of whom 5,71,435 were successful. The pass percentage for the Primary Level was 80.07%.
Meanwhile, 10,57,021 candidates appeared for the Upper Primary Level examination (Classes 6 to 8), with 7,59,513 qualifying. The success rate at this level was 71.85%. Across both levels, approximately 13.30 lakh candidates qualified in UPTET 2026.

This is a point that candidates need to clearly understand: qualifying for the UPTET does not automatically guarantee a job in a government school.
The UPTET is primarily an eligibility test. Upon successfully passing the exam, candidates become eligible to participate in the teacher recruitment process in Uttar Pradesh.
According to available information, successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply for the Super TET and other teacher recruitment processes once the relevant recruitment notifications are released.
Therefore, after the results are declared, candidates must wait for the subsequent recruitment notification.
