Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Dada Patil directed universities in Maharashtra to take firm steps toward the goals of Viksit Maharashtra Vision 2047. He said the integrated digital dashboard created to improve faculty recruitment, academic quality, administrative processes, and overall university performance must be fully completed within the next 15 days.
He was speaking at a conference held at the University of Mumbai on Viksit Maharashtra Vision 2047 and Higher Education Transformation: Role and Contribution of Universities. Additional Chief Secretary B. Venugopal Reddy, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashwini Bhide, Secretary Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi, Director of Technical Education Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director of Higher Education Dr. Shailendra Deolankar, Director of Arts Dr. Kishor Ingle, Deputy Secretary Pratap Lubaal, Joint Secretary Santosh Khorgade, and vice chancellors and pro-vice chancellors from all state universities were present.

Minister Patil said it is mandatory for all universities to complete the dashboard on time. Each university will be assigned a two-member team that will guide them and verify the information on-site. This will help ensure that the data on the dashboard is accurate and error-free. He instructed universities to regularly review their operations. An integrated review meeting will be held every three months to track progress. He also asked universities to organize special cultural and academic activities to mark the 150th anniversary of the song “Vande Mataram.”
Emphasizing the importance of completing the dashboard without errors, Additional Chief Secretary Reddy said universities must ensure that all information is available in one place on the dashboard. He urged every university to examine its dashboard in detail and complete all pending entries by November 30.

Various initiatives will be implemented across the state to support this effort. The dashboard will be central to ensuring digital transparency in higher education, speeding up faculty recruitment, and improving academic quality. The November 30 deadline is expected to be a decisive milestone for universities in Maharashtra.
