The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the Round 1 seat allotment results for the Maharashtra Agriculture CAP 2026. Seats have been allotted to a total of 10,871 students for admission to undergraduate agriculture courses for the 2026-27 academic year.
A total of 23,803 candidates registered for this CAP process, and among them, 18,993 submitted their college and course preferences within the mentioned time. Only those candidates who submitted their preferences were considered for the first round of seat allotment. These seats have been allocated across 9 professional degree programmes.
A total of 10,871 candidates received seat allotments in the first CAP round. Although 23,803 candidates registered for the Maharashtra Agriculture CAP 2026, 18,993 ultimately submitted their college preferences.
The Round 1 allotment was conducted based on this preference list. Among the candidates, 3,147 secured their first-choice college.
The seats of candidates who secured their first-choice college have been 'Auto-Frozen'; this means they are required to accept the allotted seat in agreement with the prescribed rules. If they decline the seat, they will not be eligible to participate in the second and third CAP rounds and will have to wait for a subsequent CAP round or an institutional round.
Candidates who have received a seat allotment in Round 1 must report to their allotted college between August 17 and August 19, 2026.
Candidates are required to visit the college to complete document verification and other admission formalities. Once the documents have been verified, they must log in to their accounts and select either the 'Freeze' or 'Float' option. Additionally, an admission acceptance fee of ₹1,000 must be paid.
Freeze: By selecting this option, the candidate confirms their currently allotted seat and will not participate in the subsequent CAP round for a seat upgrade.
Float: By selecting this option, the candidate retains their current seat while keeping the opportunity to secure a higher-preference seat in the subsequent CAP process, in accordance with the rules.
Therefore, one should carefully consider their current allotment and the prospects for the next round before choosing an option.
