UPSC IFS Mains Exam Date 2026 Out: 22 to 29 November

For candidates who have cleared the Preliminary stage of the UPSC Civil Services and Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2026 and are proceeding to the Indian Forest Service Main Examination, their preparation has now reached a more specialised phase.

The UPSC IFS Main Examination 2026 is scheduled to be held from November 22 to November 29, 2026. The Preliminary Examination took place on May 24, 2026, and the application window for the IFS Main Examination was open from July 13 to July 22, 2026.

Next come the optional subjects. Here, the most practical approach is to prepare topic wise, strictly following the syllabus of the two optional subjects chosen by the candidates.

Even if the exam date is known, you will need to wait for the Admit Card for specific examination details, such as the exam centre, reporting time, and other instructions.

Once the Admit Card is released, simply downloading the PDF is not enough; carefully verify your name, roll number, photograph, and centre details. If the exam centre is in a different city, it is advisable to plan your travel in advance.
