NCS Portal Mobilises Over 10.05 Crore Job Vacancies Since Inception; 6.64 Crore Jobseekers Registered

New Delhi, August 3: The National Career Service (NCS) Portal, an initiative of the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has achieved a significant milestone by mobilising more than 10.05 crore job vacancies since its inception. The portal has also registered over 6.64 crore jobseekers, making it one of India’s largest digital employment platforms.

According to a written reply by Union Minister for Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in the Lok Sabha on August 3, 2026, the portal had 2.89 crore active jobseekers and 17.68 lakh active job vacancies as on July 15, 2026.

The National Career Service Portal provides a comprehensive range of employment-related services, including government and private sector job opportunities, career counselling, vocational guidance, online and offline job fairs, job search and matching, as well as information on skill development and training programmes. The platform has been upgraded with cloud-based infrastructure and advanced AI-powered features such as intelligent job matching, AI-based skill gap analysis, personalised job recommendations, AI interview coaching, multilingual support through Bhashini, and enhanced verification mechanisms.

To expand employment opportunities, the Ministry has signed more than 40 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading private organisations, including Apna, Swiggy, Rapido, Zomato, Amazon, TCS iON, Quikr, and Foundit. These partnerships support job listings, career counselling, skill development programmes, and job fairs through the NCS Portal.

The portal is integrated with several government platforms, including Udyam, eShram, Skill India Digital Hub, EPFO, ESIC, DigiLocker, and recruitment agencies such as UPSC, SSC, ASRB, and Railway Recruitment Boards, creating a seamless employment ecosystem. The Government has also approved 407 Model Career Centres, including 370 upgraded Employment Exchanges, to provide career guidance and employment assistance across the country. Currently, 31 States and Union Territories are integrated with the NCS Portal.

Jobseekers can view State-wise registration details and available vacancies through the official NCS registration and statistics portal:
