A prestigious opportunity has come up for experienced stenographers and personal assistant professionals who want to work with the Supreme Court of India. The Supreme Court has invited online applications for 20 tentative vacancies of Court Master (Shorthand). The post carries a Level 11 pay scale, ranging from ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700 per month, along with applicable allowances. Unlike many other government recruitment drives, this opportunity is not intended for fresh graduates. Candidates need a recognised bachelor's degree, strong English shorthand and computer typing skills, as well as at least five years of relevant regular work experience. The selection process also involves several stages, including a written examination, shorthand test, typing test and interview. Anyone considering this post should check the experience and skill requirements carefully before applying.

Departmental candidates of the Supreme Court Registry are subject to the specific provisions mentioned in the notification.

The paper covers English, general knowledge, constitutional provisions relating to the judiciary, Supreme Court Rules and computer operations. Candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying marks.
