Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a recruitment drive for 73 experienced professionals across its Architecture, Civil/Track, Signalling and Telecommunication, and Environment departments. The vacancies include Supervisor, Engineer and Senior Engineer-level positions for work connected with the Jaipur Phase-II project and Delhi-NCR operations.
Applications are invited from eligible serving and retired professionals of government organisations, Railways, public sector undertakings and metro organisations. The last date to submit an application is 4 November 2026.
This recruitment is particularly relevant for professionals who already have substantial experience in metro, railway, government or PSU projects. It is not a regular entry-level opportunity for fresh engineering graduates. Appointments will be made through deputation or Post Retirement Contractual Engagement (PRCE), depending on the applicant's service status and eligibility.
Candidates should understand the difference between these two engagement routes, check the experience and pay-scale conditions for their discipline, and prepare the required service documents before sending their applications.
The recruitment has been announced under Advertisement No. DMRC/PERS/22/HR/2026 (235), dated 14 October 2026. Of the 73 advertised vacancies, 54 are for Supervisor-level positions and 19 are in the Engineer/Senior Engineer group. The department-wise distribution is:
-
Architecture: 3 posts
-
Civil/Track: 54 posts
-
Signalling and Telecommunication: 11 posts
-
Environment: 5 posts
The positions are intended for candidates with relevant professional backgrounds in these disciplines. The required educational qualifications and service experience differ according to the post and department. Applicants should therefore check the detailed advertisement rather than rely on a general engineering qualification alone.
One of the main attractions is the advertised pay. The headline figure of ₹2.08 lakh relates to the upper end of the applicable pay scale for certain deputation-level positions; it should not be treated as a fixed monthly salary for every selected candidate.
Under PRCE, the consolidated monthly remuneration varies by designation and location. The published figures range from approximately ₹56,300 to ₹1,06,300. Candidates applying on deputation will receive pay and allowances according to the applicable parent-department rules.
The age conditions also depend on the engagement category. For deputation, the maximum age is generally 55 years. For PRCE, applicants should be between 55 and 62 years. The age is calculated as of 1 October 2026, subject to the detailed notification.
DMRC has invited applications from professionals currently working in, or retired from, government departments, Railways, PSUs and metro organisations. Applicants must have relevant experience in their respective technical fields. The recruitment is not designed for freshers, and candidates should confirm that their present or previous service and pay-scale details meet the prescribed requirements.
The selection process is based on shortlisting and a personal interview. Candidates applying under PRCE will also have to undergo a medical fitness examination. The recruitment does not involve a conventional written examination as the main selection stage.
Eligible candidates must download the prescribed application form, complete it and attach the supporting documents. These may include educational certificates, service and experience records, details of the present or last pay scale, promotion orders and other documents required for the applicable engagement category. Serving candidates may also need to submit the necessary clearance and forwarding documents.
Applications must reach DMRC through the prescribed Speed Post or email process by 4 November 2026. Candidates should follow the instructions in the official advertisement carefully and ensure that their forms and supporting documents are complete.
For experienced professionals in the railway, metro and infrastructure sectors, this recruitment offers an opportunity to work with Delhi Metro on important projects. However, applicants should carefully compare their experience, age and service conditions with the requirements before applying.
