This recruitment drive involves a total of 2,482 new vacancies. The number of vacancies varies by state. Gujarat has the highest number of posts (400), followed by Maharashtra (180), Karnataka (130), and Tamil Nadu (128). There are 40 posts allocated for West Bengal, with Bengali/ Nepali specified as the local language. Please refer to the official notification for the state-wise breakdown.
For Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, English will be accepted as a local language only for candidates who have passed English as a subject in a school located in the respective state.
A candidate may apply for only one state; if multiple applications are submitted, only the latest valid completed application will be retained. Fees or intimation charges paid for other applications will not be refunded.
Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a university or institution recognised by the Government of India or a relevant authorised body. As of August 1, 2026, the candidate's age must be between a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 30 years. Upper age relaxation will apply to candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with government regulations.
Candidates are required to possess at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a recognised Scheduled Commercial Bank. Experience gained in a clerical cadre will not be considered for this recruitment.
Bank of Baroda places significant importance on this experience; experience certificates and job profiles will be scrutinised. Applications may be rejected if the candidate's previous job responsibilities do not align sufficiently with the duties of a Scale-I Officer at Bank of Baroda.
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the specific local language of the state applied for is mandatory. Following the online examination, shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo a Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
However, if a candidate can provide proof such as a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate showing that they studied the relevant local language as a subject, they will be exempted from the separate LPT.
The recruitment selection process may consist of multiple stages. As per the notification, following the online test, a psychometric test, group discussion, personal interview, or other assessments may be conducted as required. The Bank also reserves the right to modify the selection methodology as deemed necessary.
