Mumbai, August 21: Students who are still waiting to secure admission to Class 11 for the academic year 2026–27 now have another opportunity. The Directorate of Education has announced a special round of the Centralised Online Admission Process for students whose admissions have not yet been confirmed.
So far, 15,52,678 students have registered, while 13,43,418 students have confirmed their admissions. The special round has been introduced to help students who are still looking for a seat.
What Students Need to Know
The list of vacant seats will be published on August 23 at 11:00 AM.
Students can then complete the admission process from 1:00 PM on August 23 until 6:00 PM on August 24. During this period, they can register, make corrections to Part 1 of their application, fill in Part 2 and lock their application.
One important point: students must select at least 10 Junior Colleges in their preference list.
Seat Allotment on August 25
The most important date is August 25. The special-round seat allotment will be conducted on this day, and the allotment and cut-off lists will be released at 3:00 PM. Students will also receive information through SMS.
Students who receive a seat will have to visit the allotted Junior College between August 25 and August 27 to complete document verification, pay the required fees and confirm their admission.
What Happens Next?
Administrative work will be completed on August 28, followed by data processing on August 29. The next list of vacant seats will be published on August 30 at 11:00 AM.
Education Director (Secondary and Higher Secondary) Dr. Mahesh Palkar has appealed to students, parents and Junior College principals to follow the schedule carefully and complete the required formalities on time.
