Maharashtra Government School Crisis: Abhijeet Dipke Demands Dada Bhuse Resignation

Abhijit Deepak, leader of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has once again raised his voice regarding the lack of sufficient infrastructure in Maharashtra's government schools. After inspecting a Zilla Parishad school in Ujani village, Latur, he alleged that many students remain poor of basic amenities such as proper classrooms, benches, toilets, and safe access roads.

Conducting the inspection as part of the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign, Deepak demanded accountability from the political leadership and the administration for this situation. He also called for the resignation of Maharashtra School Education Minister Dada Bhuse.

After inspecting a Zilla Parishad school in Ujani village, located in the Ausa tehsil of Latur, Deepak alleged that some government schools in the state still lack essential basic facilities.

According to him, certain schools suffer from a shortage of sufficient classrooms, benches, and toilets, as well as a lack of safe access roads. He said that this issue is directly linked to the lives and safety of the students.

Deepak said that if fundamental problems such as leaking tin roofs and a lack of sufficient benches continue in schools even with the government having been in power for a long time, then the government must be held accountable for the situation.

While discussing the condition of the schools, the CJP leader demanded the resignation of Maharashtra School Education Minister Dada Bhuse.

He argued that if the state of schools under the Education Department remains so poor, it is natural to question the role of the person holding the portfolio of Education Minister.

However, this is a political demand made by Deepak and forms part of his statement; no response from the government regarding this specific demand has been mentioned here.

CJP launched the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign last week. Through this campaign, the organisation is highlighting issues related to the infrastructure and accountability of government schools.

Deepak said that their team would visit schools in various villages and engage in discussions with local residents and elected representatives. He also pointed out the importance of public participation in establishing necessary facilities within the schools.

He urged people to visit their children's schools and identify the existing problems there.

He has urged elected representatives, regardless of their political affiliation, to focus on the improvement of schools.

He maintains that when political leaders visit villages to seek votes, local residents should also question them about improving the education system. In his view, ordinary people need to speak up more forcefully about children's futures, alongside political issues concerning religion, caste, or community.

He further added that if ministers and MLAs sent their own children to government schools, they would gain a better, first-hand understanding of the actual problems facing these institutions.

In his address, Deepak also highlighted the issue of Gen Z. He said that the younger generation could come out as a significant electoral force by the time of the 2029 elections.

According to him, it is essential to address the concerns of the youth seriously right now. He also warned that if the government fails to take action regarding education and the state of public schools, more young people might join in protests in the future.
