Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has opened applications for its 2026-27 apprenticeship training programme at the Korwa Division in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi district. The opportunity is available to eligible graduate and diploma holders from engineering and non-engineering backgrounds. Applications began on October 29, 2026, and the last date to apply is November 13. Selected candidates will undergo one year of training at the Korwa facility. There is no application fee, making this an opportunity worth considering for eligible young candidates.
For graduates and diploma holders looking to gain practical experience in a major public sector organisation, this programme could be a useful career step. However, candidates should understand that an apprenticeship is primarily a training opportunity, not a confirmed job offer. HAL has also specified an upper age limit of 26 years. Before applying, candidates should check whether their qualification matches the listed trades and complete the required registration process carefully.
HAL is inviting applications from engineering graduates in disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Civil, Computer Science and Information Technology. Applicants in these categories should hold a four-year BE or BTech degree in the relevant discipline.
The programme also covers non-engineering graduates. Candidates with a three-year degree in BSc Computer Science, BSc, BCom or BA may apply under the relevant category. Those with a four-year BSc degree in Agriculture are also eligible, subject to the prescribed conditions.
Diploma holders can apply as well. Engineering diploma candidates should have completed a three-year diploma in disciplines such as Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science or IT. The notice also mentions non-engineering diploma categories, including General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), for which the specified course duration and qualification requirements must be met. Candidates should select the category that matches their actual qualification.
The maximum age limit for applicants is 26 years. The apprenticeship will run for one year, and candidates will not have to pay an application fee. Importantly, completing the training does not guarantee permanent employment with HAL.
Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying degree or diploma examination. HAL has not mentioned a separate written examination for this recruitment. The merit list of shortlisted candidates is expected to be published on the company's official website between November 30 and December 2, 2026. Document verification at HAL Korwa is scheduled to take place from December 3 to December 9, 2026.
Candidates must first register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. After completing registration, they will receive a registration number, which will be required during the application process. Applicants should then follow the instructions in HAL's official recruitment notification and submit the required details and documents.
The application deadline is November 13, 2026. Interested candidates should complete the process well before the closing date and carefully check the official notification for qualification-specific requirements and application instructions.
