In recent times, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is bringing about rapid changes in the fields of education, technology, and employment. To better familiarise students with these changes, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced new AI-powered learning modules.
This plan aims to make digital education more effective, interactive, and practical. Through these new modules, students will have the opportunity to acquire essential skills such as problem-solving, coding, and critical thinking.
The CBSE has launched a series of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning modules designed to enhance students' digital skills. These modules will be available on the CBSE's digital learning platform, and teachers and students from all CBSE-affiliated schools across the country will be able to use them.
The new AI-based learning module places greater focus on practical learning rather than just theoretical lessons. It incorporates interactive lessons, virtual simulations, online quizzes, project-based activities, and exercises focused on solving real-world problems. Through this approach, students will not only understand the subject matter but also learn how to apply it in real-life situations.
The primary objectives of this new CBSE initiative are to enhance digital literacy, improve problem-solving skills, create opportunities for learning coding, make technology-based education more accessible and engaging, and promote critical thinking. This plan has been developed in arrangement with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The CBSE has said that this AI-based learning module has been designed primarily for students ranging from the middle school level to higher classes. The content has been structured according to the students' age and educational level to facilitate the learning process.
This plan covers not only students but also teachers. Teachers will receive specialised training on how to effectively use AI-based tools in the classroom, enabling them to conduct more engaging and productive lessons by using new technology.
One of the key objectives of the National Education Policy 2020 is to establish a technology-driven, skill-based, and future-oriented education system. CBSE's new AI learning modules represent a significant step towards achieving that goal.
I believe that such plans will make students far more confident, helping them develop not only the skills needed for exam preparation but also those essential for real life.
