Maharashtra Education Department Moves Supreme Court in Teacher Pay-Scale Case

In a significant development concerning primary teachers in Maharashtra, the School Education and Sports Department has initiated the process of filing a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court against the judgment delivered in Writ Petition No. 5563/2022.

According to an official communication issued by the Maharashtra Government, the department has authorized the filing of the SLP after obtaining approval from the Law and Judiciary Department. The letter has been addressed to the Deputy Director of Education, Nagpur Division, directing immediate coordination with the Government Advocate to complete all legal formalities.
