Students of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU Nagpur) delivered a strong performance at the 4th Inter-University Moot Court Competition 2026 organised by Parul University in Vadodara, advancing to the Octa-Final Round of the national-level contest.
The MNLU Nagpur team featured three second-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) students: Pratiksha Shukla, Purvi Satrawla and Kabir Janbhor. The team finished among the top 26 teams from 80 participating universities and law colleges across the country.
Kabir Janbhor receives Best Mooter honour
The competition also brought an individual distinction for Kabir Janbhor, who was awarded the ‘Best Mooter’ title for his advocacy performance. He received a cash prize of ₹40,000.
Janbhor was selected for the award from among 160 participants representing the 80 participating universities and law colleges.
The award ceremony was attended by Justice N. Kotiswar Singh of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Soumen Sen, Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, and Justice Sourendra Pandey of the Patna High Court.
University leadership congratulates students
MNLU Nagpur Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Bhakare, Prof. (Dr.) V. P. Tiwari and Registrar Shri Deepak Bhagwat congratulated the participating students following their performance.
The university leadership appreciated the students’ dedication and advocacy skills and extended their best wishes for their continued academic and professional pursuits at national and international platforms.
The performance at the competition adds another notable achievement to the academic and co-curricular record of the MNLU Nagpur students, with the team demonstrating its ability to compete alongside law students from institutions across India.
