MP Dr. Anil Bonde Takes Up the Cause of EWS Medical Students

Representation submitted to Union Education Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi for effective implementation of EWS reservation

New Delhi: MP Dr. Anil Bonde has taken a positive initiative for meritorious students from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), seeking to ensure that financial difficulties do not come in the way of their dream of becoming doctors.

Dr. Anil Bonde met Union Education Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi and submitted a representation regarding the difficulties faced by EWS students in availing themselves of reservation in private medical colleges despite successfully qualifying in the NEET-UG examination.

The representation seeks transparent and effective implementation of EWS reservation in private medical colleges, clear notification of EWS seats before the counselling process, and immediate policy measures in accordance with the Supreme Court judgment dated October 16, 2025.

The initiative aims to ensure that meritorious EWS students receive their rightful opportunities in medical education and that no deserving student is deprived of the opportunity to become a doctor due to financial circumstances.

MP Dr. Anil Bonde reiterated his commitment to continuing efforts in support of the educational rights and aspirations of meritorious EWS students.
