Controversy Over ‘Pakistani Song’ in Maharashtra School: Case Filed Against Headmaster and Two Teachers

A new controversy has come out surrounding a school in Maharashtra's Jalna district. The police have registered a case against the school's headmaster and two teachers following allegations that a Pakistani song was played and a photograph of a Pakistani extremist was displayed during a cultural event.

The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media and drawn reactions from local political circles. However, the school authorities have categorically denied the allegations, claiming that the music used during the event was part of a popular Turkish television series.

A video and some photographs of an annual cultural event held in March 2025 at Kids World English School in the Partur area of Jalna district recently went viral on social media.

It was alleged that students performed a dance to a Pakistani song during the event. Claims were also made that a photograph of a controversial Pakistani figure was displayed on stage. A major controversy erupted after these allegations came to light.

The Partur police have registered a case against Waziyoddin Siddiqui, the headmaster of a school, and two other teachers. The police have created various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges of risking the country's freedom and honesty, causing tension between different groups, spreading misleading information that could affect national unity, and spreading information capable of causing public panic. The honesty of the allegations will remain subject to the outcome of the investigation.

Social media posts claimed that Pakistani songs were played during a school event. Additionally, allegations arose that a photograph of an individual known as a Pakistani extremist was displayed. These posts quickly went viral and sparked a local controversy.

The school administration has dismissed the allegations as baseless. According to Headmaster Wazioddin Siddiqui, the music played during the event was not a Pakistani song; rather, it was the background music from the popular Turkish television series "Ertugrul Ghazi." He claims that certain individuals have spread misleading information on social media by misrepresenting videos and images.

The police have stated that a case has been registered based on the complaint, and an investigation is underway. Investigating officers are examining video footage, verifying content circulating on social media, collecting the actual audio and visual material from the event, and recording the statements of the individuals involved. Clear details regarding the actual incident will come out once the investigation is done.

The controversy surrounding Kids World English School in Jalna is currently under investigation. While complainants have alleged the use of Pakistani songs and controversial images, the school authorities have categorically denied these claims, declaring that the matter has been misrepresented.

It is impossible to reach a definitive conclusion regarding the actual facts until the investigation results are released. However, this incident has once again highlighted the importance of verifying information for educational institutions, the administration, and the general public.
