Maharashtra Class 11 Online Admission 2026 Starts from Today (April 10): Full Process

Maharashtra Class 11 Online Admission 2026 Starts from Today (April 10): Full Process

Starting today, April 10th, the online admission process for Class 11 in the state of Maharashtra for the 2026 academic session is set to start. In a notification issued by the State Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, it was announced that the entire admission procedure for this year will be conducted online. Starting at 10:00 AM, students will be able to fill out the first part (Part 1) of the admission form, and the second part (Part 2) will become accessible once the Class 10 results of the Maharashtra Board are published.

We are addressing this topic in today's post because many students—along with their parents—have not yet been able to fully catch the elaborations of the entire admission process. Last year, when the online admission system was introduced statewide for the first time, the process faced some delays, leading to confusion among many. Consequently, the registration process was initiated earlier this year, and the State Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is actively attempting to make the procedure both simpler and more efficient. Through this post, we have aimed to explain the entire process in simple, easy-to-understand language.

This year, the Class 10 Board examinations in the state of Maharashtra were held from February 20 to March 18, 2026, with a total of 1,615,489 students registering for the exams. Since the State Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has established a two-part form-filling system, Part 1 and Part 2, for admission into Class 11, this period is of critical importance; while the filling of Part 1 forms starts today, the process for Part 2 forms will begin only after the results of the Class 10 Board examinations have been declared.

In the preceding year, specifically the 2025–26 academic session, the State of Maharashtra introduced an online admission process for Class 11 for the very first time. During that period, the total number of available seats stood at 2,178,078, with 9,591 junior colleges participating in the initiative. Of these, approximately 1,179,000 students secured admission through the centralised process, while around 170,000 students were admitted under the in-house, minority, and management quotas. However, a significant issue arose that year because the registration process was only available after the results of the Class 10 Board examinations had been declared. Consequently, the admission process got off to a late start, and the conduct of more than ten rounds was required to bring the entire admission procedure to finish.

Therefore, to ensure a smooth and trouble-free application process for the current 2026–2027 academic session, registration for the Part I form fill-up has commenced even before the results have been published. Director Dr Mahesh Palekar stated that advance notice regarding this registration process—including a list of the documents required—was provided during the Class 10 Board examinations.

What to Keep in Mind When Filling Out Forms?

We have discussed below the key points you should carefully observe while filling out the form:

  • For any type of form submission, you must complete the application process on the very first day that applications open. This is because if you wait until the deadline, you may be unable to submit the form due to server issues. Therefore, it is essential to complete the form submission in a timely manner.
  • While filling out the form, ensure that all information is entered accurately and attentively. Providing incorrect information may lead to problems during the document verification stage.
  • Keep all necessary original documents ready in advance before you begin filling out the form.
  • Most importantly, when selecting your preferred colleges, give the matter careful thought before submitting your application.
