Maharashtra HSC Supplementary Exam 2026 Applications Begin: Check the Last Date

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has started the application process for the HSC Supplementary Examination 2026. Students who failed to pass in one or more subjects during the main Class 12 Board examinations can now apply online for the supplementary examination. The Board has announced that the deadline for submitting applications along with the standard fee is May 15, 2026. It has also been stated that the examination is scheduled to be held during the months of June and July.

For many students, this supplementary examination serves as a second opportunity. Therefore, it is crucial to submit applications within the stipulated deadline. I believe this presents an excellent opportunity for those who did not achieve their desired results in the main examination to prepare afresh and improve their performance. To avoid last-minute pressure, students should keep all necessary documents and information ready starting now.

Maharashtra HSC Supplementary 2026: Important Dates

According to the schedule published by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), the important dates are listed below:

  • Regular Fee Application Start Date: 5 May 2026
  • Regular Fee Application Last Date: 15 May 2026
  • Late Fee Application Dates: 16 May to 20 May 2026
  • Fee Payment Last Date through RTGS/NEFT: 21 May 2026
  • Student List Submission to Divisional Board: 25 May 2026
  • Supplementary Exam Date: June–July 2026

N.B: Students have been advised to complete their applications within the fixed time.

Students can apply online through the official website of the Maharashtra Board. It is crucial to accurately fill in all details while applying. School or college authorities must verify the students' information via the college login portal. After submitting the application, the fee payment must be completed using RTGS, NEFT, or other authorised banking methods.

The Board has issued several important instructions that applicants must strictly attach to: all information must be thoroughly verified before submitting the application; no applications will be accepted after the stipulated deadline; the application fee, once submitted, is non-refundable; only approved payment methods may be used; offline applications will not be accepted; and all guidelines provided on the official website must be followed.

Students often fail to pass their main examinations by a narrow margin. Supplementary exams offer these students a second opportunity to quickly improve their results without wasting an entire academic year. This examination can be particularly crucial for those awaiting college admission or planning for their future studies. Therefore, it is advisable to begin preparing right away.
