Beyond internships, NCC Maharashtra is actively pursuing initiatives to equip cadets with future-ready skills through structured training programmes in:
* Drone Pilot Training and Certification
* Cyber Defender and Cyber Security Programmes
* Disaster Management and Emergency Response
* Civil Defence and Community Resilience
The Directorate is also engaging with additional corporate partners across sectors including technology, manufacturing, logistics, financial services, hospitality and emerging industries to create a sustained pipeline of internship and employment opportunities for youth.
These initiatives align with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for youth empowerment through skilling, employability and entrepreneurship, and resonate strongly with the commitment of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis towards creating expanded opportunities for the youth of Maharashtra.
NCC Maharashtra currently engages approximately 1.5 lakh cadets across more than 2,000 educational institutions covering all 36 districts of the State, providing a unique platform to connect leadership development with career readiness and economic participation.
Eligible NCC Cadets and Ex-Cadets have been advised to contact their nearest NCC Unit for registration and participation in the placement camps.
“NCC has always been a platform for developing disciplined, responsible and capable young citizens. Today, we are expanding that vision further by connecting leadership development with employability, entrepreneurship and future-ready skills. Through internships, drone training, cyber security programmes, disaster management initiatives and industry partnerships, we aim to ensure that every NCC cadet is prepared not only to serve the nation but also to succeed in a rapidly evolving professional environment. The Pune and Mumbai placement camps represent the beginning of a larger journey towards creating meaningful pathways from education to employment.” - Additional Director General, NCC Maharashtra, Major General Vivek Tyagi.
