A significant action has been undertaken for students from tribal and rural areas in Maharashtra's Raigad district. On Saturday, State Governor Jishnu Dev Varma formally dedicated a new school bus at the Maharashtra Lok Bhavan. This bus has been provided to facilitate the commute of secondary school students from the Ratwad area.
For a long time, many students from remote villages and tribal hamlets had been facing difficulties in reaching school. It is expected that this new transport facility will bring about a positive change in their educational lives.
Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma formally handed over the school bus to representatives of the school at a ceremony held at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan. This action is viewed as a significant step towards the development of the local education system. Representatives from various social and educational organisations were also present at the event. They believe that such collaboration will have a long-term positive impact on the promotion of education.

The school bus has been donated by the Suman Ramesh Tulsiani Trust, an organisation that has long been involved in various educational and social development initiatives.
The bus has been provided to Madhyamik Vidyamandir, an institution managed by Chhatrapati Shikshan Mandal, located in the Ratwad area of Raigad district. The Trust stated that the primary objective of this initiative is to facilitate easier transportation for the students.
According to the school authorities, a total of 196 students from 8 villages and four tribal villages currently attend this school. Many students in the area previously had to walk long distances or depend on limited transport options to reach the school. The introduction of the new bus service will make their commute safer and easier.
The most significant side of this initiative is the increase in student enrollment following the introduction of the school bus service. According to school authorities, 42 new students have enrolled since the service began. This shows that accessible transportation plays a crucial role in encouraging students to attend school.

Previously, many families hesitated to send their children to school regularly due to the distance involved. Now that this issue has been resolved, interest in education has also grown.
The Suman Ramesh Tulsiani Trust has already donated 9 school buses to promote education. This initiative has helped expand educational opportunities for students across various regions.
It was announced at the event that Ramesh Tulsiani and Suman Tulsiani passed away recently, within just fifteen days of each other. However, their ideals of social service and their work for human welfare continue to be carried forward through the Trust.
