NTA Exam Calendar 2026-27 Released

With the release of the National Testing Agency (NTA) exam calendar for 2026-27, the tentative schedules for several key national-level examinations have been revealed. This calendar, released on September 17, 2026, outlines dates for various entrance and eligibility exams covering December 2026 to March 2027.

It includes highly anticipated exams such as UGC NET, Joint CSIR-UGC NET, JEE Main 2027 (Session 1), the NIFT Entrance Examination, CMAT, and CUET PG. Consequently, aspirants can now gain a clear understanding of when to intensify their preparations for specific exams in the coming months.

NTA Exam Calendar 2026-27: Overview

The release of this calendar is significant because many candidates prepare for multiple examinations together. While some aim for JEE Main, others are preparing for UGC NET or CUET PG. Therefore, it is not enough to know the date of a single exam; one must also consider whether other important exams are scheduled around the same time.

The schedule published by the NTA greatly simplifies this planning process. However, it is important to note from the outset that these are proposed or tentative dates; the NTA may alter the schedule later due to administrative, academic, logistical, or other reasons.

The NTA's new calendar begins in December 2026. The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) examination is proposed to be held early in the month, on December 6. This is to be followed by the SWAYAM examination from December 8 to 12 and the Rashtriya Military Schools examination on December 13.

Next in line is the UGC NET December cycle; the proposed schedule places this exam between December 14 and 19, with December 20 and 21 designated as buffer dates. At the same time, the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December examination is scheduled to take place on December 20 and 21.
